Four Different Types of Invisalign® Treatment
Invisalign treatment offers flexible solutions
Aesthetically pleasing: Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, so no one will know you’re wearing them at all.
Easy maintenance: The removable aligners make undergoing orthodontic treatment easy. You can remove them for eating, brushing, and flossing, and for important occasions, such as a business meeting, social engagement, or even your wedding day.
Invisalign Full Treatment
This is the most common course of Invisalign treatment here at GO Orthodontics. Consisting of as many aligns as are needed to achieve your desired result, full Invisalign treatment is used to treat the more complex orthodontic conditions.
On average, treatment time can range from 15 to 20 months, but it differs from person to person because each individual can be prescribed a different number of aligners to improve his or her smile.
Invisalign Express/Lite Treatment
This is the preferred option for less complex alignment cases and most relapse cases. Minor tooth corrections can be achieved in as little as four to six months, which means you’ll see results before anyone finds out you’re even having treatment.
Invisalign Express treatment uses a fixed number of clear aligners to correct small discrepancies toward an improved smile. It’s ideal for people who need the positioning of their teeth adjusted and straightened before cosmetic work, whether that be veneers, crowns, or bridges.
Also ideal for those who have had relapse in their alignment following orthodontic treatment, Invisalign provides a great solution to enhance the cosmetic/aesthetic solution.
Invisalign Treatment for Teens
Teenagers commonly experience a period of rapidly shifting changes as they grow. Invisalign for Teens® was developed to help accommodate these issues with some special features.
- The provision of up to six free replacement dental aligners in cases where they always seem to get lost, eaten by the family dog, or destroyed in the wash because they were forgotten in a shirt pocket!
- Tooth eruption tabs: We can forward plan the eruption and growth of permanent teeth in the space inside the aligners.
- Inclusion of blue compliance indicators that fade from blue to clear to help both parent and us gauge the wear time and compliance.
Invisalign MA Appliance
Invisalign treatment with MA appliance (mandibular advancement) is an efficient method to correct Class II malocclusion in growing teens. This approach uses precision wings incorporated into the upper and lower aligners to engage the mandible in an advanced edge-to-edge position while the anterior teeth are being aligned.
The procedure reduces the need for rubber bands/elastics, and other Class II solution besides wires/ brackets and functional appliances. The simultaneous correction of the bite along with dental alignment results in greater efficiency compared to treating the bite relationship and the dental alignment separately.
